Build on it, extend it, depend on it.

Project Stack is source-available to customers, partners and ISVs. Read it, subscribe to its events, open a pull request against it, or publish your own marketplace offer that depends on it.

Four ways to build on it

For partners and ISVs. Pick by how much you want to own; the first two need nothing from us at all.

Customize

Business Central supports per-tenant extensions natively. Your reseller, or your own developer, can change how Project Stack behaves in your environment and nobody else's. No listing, no wave, no permission.

Subscribe

Every module publishes events at its posting, validation and calculation points. Write your own extension, subscribe to what you need, and ship it under your own name. Nothing to ask us, nothing to wait for.

Contribute

The source is available to customers, partners and ISVs. Open a pull request against the module you want to change. It goes through the same change board, and the same wave, as our own work.

Depend

Publish your own marketplace offer that depends on Project Stack. Business Central walks the dependency chain and installs our modules first, automatically, before your app.

Read the source, and add to it.

The source is available to the people who have to trust it. Here is exactly how far that goes.

What you get

The source of the modules you license, exactly as it ships. Available to customers, partners and ISVs, under a source access agreement.

What you may do

Read it, and propose changes to it. Open a pull request; it gets the same review as our own work, and ships in the same wave.

The events

Event publishers are part of the supported surface. If one has to change, it is marked obsolete for a full wave before it goes.

Got an idea?

Post it. It goes into the same queue as everything else, on the same dates.
